    Descriptions

    Pigments

PVC (Pigment Volume Concentration): The ratio of the volume of pigment to the volume of total nonvolatile material present in a coating. The figure is usually expressed as a percentage.

The nonvolitile material, the material in the dried film, is represented by pigment and binder. Solvents and other materials not present in the dried film must not be included in the denominator.

Coatings are usually composed of a mixture of multiple pigments and binders. In this case cointributions of individyal componnts must be considered. Wne multiple components are considered, ideal mixing is assumed (i.e. volumes are additive).

    Resin

PVC is an acronym for polyvinyl chloride. A resin is a material often used in the production of plastics and rubbers. PVC resin is a white powder commonly used to produce thermoplastics.

    DOP

DOP is used primarily as one of several plasticizers in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resins for fabricating flexible vinyl products. DOP is a colorless, oily liquid with a slight odor produced by etherification process through catalytic reaction; it is highly compatible with PVC with excellent plasticizing effect.

    TIO2

Photocatalytic degradation of flexible PVC/TiO2 nanohybrid as an eco-friendly alternative to the current waste landfill and dioxin-emitting incineration of post-use PVC
